Broncos Athletes of the Week for November 15-21

The Olds College Broncos Athletes of the Week are presented to the male and female student-athletes who have best exemplified what it means to be a Broncos student-athlete with their performance on the playing field for that given week. This week's Female and Male Athletes of the Week for the week of November 15-21 are Mackenzie Hooson and Adrian Deere from the Women's and Men's Basketball programs.

Mackenzie Hooson has been named the Broncos Female Athlete of the Week for the week of November 15-21 .The second year Forward from Didsbury, AB saw a ton of success this weekend against the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens as she averaged 19.5 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, and 2.0 assists per game over the two games while being named Player of the Game in both games. On the season thusfar, Hooson has been averaging 14.0 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 51.4 % from the field. When not on the court, Hooson studies in the Business Management Diploma program at Olds College.

Adrian Deere has been named the Broncos Male Athlete of the Week for the week of November 15-21. Deere had a strong showing this past weekend against the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings as he averaged 24.5 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists per game over two games while being named Player of the Game in the Broncos 86-78 victory on Saturday. On the season thusfar, the native of Evanston, Illinois has averaged 23.0 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 55.6% from the field and 52.2% beyond the three point line. When not on the court, the 6'4" Guard studies in the Sports Management diploma program at Olds College.
