Broncos Defeat Trojans at Home Opener

The SAIT Trojans started the first set off strong claiming the first couple points. The Olds College Broncos quickly caught up after gaining possession early on in the set. The Broncos continued their momentum taking a slight lead  6-4 against the Trojans. Although early in the game, both SAIT Trojans and Olds College Broncos increased their intensity as points continued back and forth. The set remained close and at point 9 it was tied. From there the Broncos gained a 4 point lead 13-9 after consistent play. A time out is called by SAIT and following that, the game heats up as SAIT comes back hard to tie 13-13. Broncos calls a time out of their own and gain a slight lead afterward resulting from consistent serves and strong blocks. Points go back and forth and the final point of the set is earned by a serve from the Broncos #6 Matheus Franca to win the first set 27-25.
