Rattlers continue winning ways vs. Broncos

The Medicine Hat Rattlers (3-0-1) spoiled the Olds College Broncos (0-4-0) home opener on Saturday afternoon, coming away with a 1-0 win.

Victor Cambeiro scored the lone goal for the Rattlers while Devin Simon cruised his way to a shutout.

A hard fought and aggressive first half looked like it was going to end scoreless until the very last minute. With the Broncos perhaps already thinking about halftime, Victor Cambeiro took the ball into the center of the box and sniped home the first goal of the game, giving the visitors positive vibes going into the half.

The Broncos failed to gain any momentum in the following 45 minutes of play, being stifled by the Rattlers midfielders. The Broncos only managed to register a single shot on net in the second half as they dropped their fourth straight contest.

Following the game Mark Elson was given player of the game honours for the visitors while Brendan Klassen took the award home for the Broncos.

Next up for Medicine Hat is a home matinee matchup vs. SAIT tomorrow at 2 P.M. Meanwhile the Broncos are heading on the road, traveling to Lethbridge for their 2 P.M Sunday match.
