OLDS, Alta. - The Olds College Broncos took care of business when it mattered, pulling away in the fourth quarter for a 64-51 victory over the SAIT Trojans at the Ralph Klein Centre, completing the weekend sweep.

Alli Taylor played a strong game for the Broncos (12-3), finishing with 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Michaela Allen-Gullion led all scorers with 16 points to go with five assists and four steals.

After a slow start on both sides, the Broncos took control of the game with a 15-0 run over a 6:32 stretch to give Olds College a 17-6 lead through 10 minutes.

The second quarter was evenly contested, as SAIT wouldn't allow a repeat of Friday night, where Olds College ran away. A back-and-forth frame produced a 38-23 Broncos lead at halftime.

After the Broncos extended their lead to 18 midway through the third, SAIT closed the frame on a 14-3 run to cut the Olds College lead to 48-41 heading to the fourth, where the Broncos defence stepped up and didn't allow the Trojans to score a field goal in the final four minutes.

Macyn Morning Bull was named The Pit BBQ Broncos Player of the Game, while Melanie Thera took the honours for the Trojans.

The Broncos have a bye next week, as they host the Red Deer College Queens on Friday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., while SAIT will host the St. Mary's University Lightning on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m.
